Characters

MAIN CHARACTERS


TRISTAN


  • Tristan is the twin who has a physical disability. He moves around in a wheelchair and cannot walk or move his arms easily. He is also unable to dress himself or play football. Tristan is good in Maths and Computers. He is also good in drama and acts very well as Tom Sawyer in the year-end school play. Although Tristan cannot play games, he is good at swimming.


  • Even though Tristan is disabled, he is emotionally stronger and more confident than James. However, Tristan is indecisive and changes his mind three times about going to his new school. He is also concerned about how James will manage without him and ask Kiara Jones to be James' 'special friend' and help him get used to his new school.


    JAMES


  • James has no physical disability. He is good in sports and plays football. James hates drama and does not like Jessica Parker. He lives in fear of her and her 'stupid laugh'.


  • James is shyer and less confidence than Tristan. He is also more nervous and very worried about going to new school without Tristan. This is mainly because he is very dependent on Tristan.

MUM


  • Mum is a loving, caring mother who supports her sons and wants the best for them

  • She is very concerned about her sons and does not get upset even when Tristan changes his mind a couple of times about going to his new school.
  • Mum sees the good in both her sons and is extremely proud of them. She is a very determined mother and always has a positive attitude. Consequently, she does not like the negative word ' disability '.


MINOR CHARACTERS

The Teachers
  1. Mr. Sewell
    - He is the twin's English and drama teacher.
    - Tristan likes him very much
  2. Mrs. Robert
    - She is Tristan's favorite teacher in Peter Hill Primary.
    - She teaches Maths.

The Classmates
KIARA JONES


  • Kiara plays football and Tristan arranges for her to be James' 'special friend' at Highfields to help him adapt him to his new school
  • Both James and Tristan like her very much

JESSICA PARKER

  • She is with the twins at Peter Hill Primary.
  • James does not likes her and her 'stupid laugh'.
  • However, Tristan fells that she only laughs at James because she wants him to notice her.

Bismillah pembuka bicara, Assalamualaikum W.B.T semua!
Alhamdulillah, hari ni dah hari ke-14 dah umat Islam di seluruh dunia mengerjakan rukun Islam yang ketiga iaitu 'menunaikan ibadat puasa pada bulan Ramadhan'. Norma kehidupan sebagai seorang pelajar sekolah menengah seperti saya untuk mencuba pelbagai benda baru, saya juga tak terlepas daripada itu. Okay, for this year, I'll participate more of them. Before saya start apa-apa cerita, elok sangatlah kalau saya memeperkenalkan diri saya dulu kan?

14&15 Mei - Saya menang tempat ke-3 dalam pertandingan Pencak Silat - Jurus Seni Tari Puteri (Masal Puteri) . Huhu~ tempat ke-3 pun jadilahh. Adat pertandinganla kan, ada yang menang, ada yang kalah. Tapi, Alhamdulillah cikgu-cikgu yang train kitorang tu tak feel down sangat. At least dapat nombor 3. Ni first time kitorang masuk tahun ni. Ingat tahun depan..... Eh, kurangkan sikitlah untuk tahun depan sebab saya akan amik PT3 tahun depan. #SecondBatchofPT3

FLIPPING FANTASTIC

Plot

  • Exposition
    - The main characters, Tristan and James and Mum, are well introduced. We also learn more about the twins and the upcoming school play.
  • Rising Action
    - Both Tristan and James have mixed feelings about going to their new school. They are worried about being separated and whether they can adapt to their new school.
  • Climax
    - The climax occurs the day after the school play. Tristan and James react very differently to the school play. They both realize how much they depend on each other and how difficult it would be adapt to their new schools. Tristan is not sure whether to follow James to Highfields or to go to Chesterlea Grange on his own.
  • Falling Action
    - At first, Tristan tells his mother that he does not want to go to Chesterlea Grange. Then, James talks to him and Tristan changes his mind
  • Resolution
    - This is the ending where the twins realize that they have made the right decision. They are both happy in their new schools.

  • We must respect others people's decisions. Accept the result as they are

  • We must be honest to our feelings and confess it when we're ready
  • It's important to get any co-operation and support from family members to make good decisions
  • Parents who are patient and understanding can build a child's confidence and self-esteem
  • Keep trying hardly for a better one
  • Accept the result as they are

FLIPPING FANTASTIC

Synopsis


 The story of 'FLIPPING FANTASTIC' revolves around twins, Tristan and James on their mother. The two boys have completed their primary education and will how be going to the different secondary school. Tristan will be going to Chesterlea Grange - a residential school for the disabled while his brother will be going to Highfields - a normal secondary school. The twins are different. Tristan is confident while James always pushes Tristan around in his wheelchair and sees to his physical needs.

On the other hand, James depends on Tristan because he is not so confident, 'he's shy and kind of scared about life'. Tristan, who is smarter and moral support to James. Tristan is very excited about the facilities in his new school, 'I'm excited about my new one'. It's special school to help children get 'able'. But James is not that keep on going to Highfields without his brother, we're pretty much stuck together and that's the way. I like it! Tristan tries to help James by changing his mind about going to Chesterlea Grange.

James is delighted but realizes that Tristan only doing this for him and he goes to talk to Tristan to convince him to change his mind. 'James reminded me about all the great things that we saw when we visited the school, and how friendly the staff were'. Tristan also helps James to adapt in Highfields by making sure he has a special friend, Kiara Jones, whom James likes to have as a friend to see him through the first jittery days. All's well that ends well and both boys find their new school fantastic.
